About The Course

The Mattox Vegas TCCACS has become the best attended such course in the world, being oversubscribed for the last 15 years. In 2021, we were the first large “live and in person” conference to meet successfully and safely. Nevada COVID guidelines limited our audience to 500 attendees, all eagerly seeking to learn and renew acquaintances with colleagues. We again sold out in 2022 to our socially distanced limited attendance of 800. The 2023 conferences saw us returning to record breaking attendance, and we now anticipate the same in 2024. Attendance, as in the past, is limited to 1200, with, historically, over 80% being physicians. Our faculty are physicians in active practice who continue “in the trenches” day after day, night after night, dealing with the most complex surgical challenges. Each year, new “rising stars” join seasoned expert faculty. As you visit the Scientific Program section of our brochure and web site, you will be impressed that such a stellar faculty has been assembled and how so much practical surgical information has been incorporated into two and one-half days. Past attendees have aptly described the conference content, “An incredible journey in surgical knowledge, with “tour guides” whose expertise and personalities make every excursion a uniquely exceptional experience,” “Amazingly wonderful, fast paced experience – like drinking water from a fire hose; it blew me away!” No other course like this in the world; can’t wait to return next year.” As we enter our 57th record-breaking year, it is appropriate that the continued focus be TRAUMA, CRITICAL CARE, & ACUTE CARE SURGERY. For every community, there continues to be a need for surgical and medical teams to evaluate and treat the sickest of the sick and the severely injured. With many graduates going into practices based primarily in minimally invasive surgical subspecialties, it is appropriate that this course take a leadership role in providing a continuing education venue for complex operative and critical care surgical challenges, with major trauma continuing to be the epitome of such challenges. We are also excited to introduce a new option for learning – MATTOX VEGAS TCCACS ON DEMAND 2024 for those who are unable to attend the in-person course in Las Vegas. This positive alternative to the live meeting allows the participant to attend the conference when convenient, for up to 6 months after the conference concludes. This is an excellent option and means of getting the important lessons learned from TCCACS 2024 to an even larger audience. Registration and CME information for Mattox Vegas TCCACS On Demand 2024 will soon be posted in the On-Demand section of the web site.

DRESS

Attire for the meeting is business casual. Every effort will be made to provide a comfortable learning environment; however, meeting room temperatures are variable and may be difficult to control. The temperature is occasionally cool in the meeting rooms, so a jacket or sweater is recommended.

NAME BADGES

Each registrant is provided a name badge for use during the meeting. For security purposes, name badges are required at all times in the convention area. Individuals without a badge will not be permitted into the course rooms, lunch sessions, exhibit hall, or ancillary conference activities. Lost badges will be replaced for a $20 fee.
