GOALS

This program is designed to equip healthcare professionals, emergency responders, and trauma system leaders with the knowledge, skills, and strategies needed to effectively prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters and mass casualty events. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of clinical, technological, ethical, and system-level considerations in high-stakes scenarios, enabling them to improve patient outcomes, enhance team coordination, and strengthen community resilience.

OBJECTIVES

1. Enhance disaster and trauma preparedness by applying evidence-based strategies for mass casualty incidents, natural disasters, emerging threats, and large-scale combat operations.
2. Optimize acute clinical management of trauma and critical illness in resource-rich and resource-limited
3. Integrate new technologies such as artificial intelligence, drones, and advanced monitoring tools into disaster response, while recognizing limitations and ethical considerations.
4. Strengthen interagency collaboration among civilian, military, and emergency response systems
5. Address the human dimensions of disaster medicine by recognizing and managing mental health impacts for patients, providers, and communities.
6. Improve systems resilience

EDUCATIONAL METHODS

Didactic lectures, panel discussions, interactive sessions, audiovisual aids, and course syllabus.

ACCREDITATION

CME credit has been applied for.  Please visit the ACCREDITATION PAGE of the web site to get specific accreditation designation for the conferences.

For the purposes of recertification, the American Nurses Credentialing Center accepts AMA PRA Category 1 credits^tmissued by organizations accredited by the ACCME.

DRESS

Business attire for the meeting is appropriate. Every effort will be made to provide a comfortable learning environment; however, meeting room temperatures are variable and may be difficult to control. The temperature is occasionally cool in the meeting rooms; therefore, a jacket or sweater is recommended.

NAME BADGES

All registrants will be provided a name badge for use during the meeting. For security purposes, name badges are required at all times in the convention area. Individuals without a badge will not be permitted into the course rooms or exhibit hall. Lost badges will be replaced for a $20 fee.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Requests for refunds must be made in writing and received on or before March 20, 2026. There is a $175 processing fee for all refunds and returned checks. No refunds issued after March 20, 2026.
